There are a few ways you can do this.
Create Zones: Find areas to keep similar items, this allows you to know the types of items you are running low on with just a quick glance.
These are high traffic spaces that can easily become a dumping ground. Involve your whole family in keeping the space organized. Assign each family member a specific zone or task, such as putting away shoes or hanging up coats. Encourage everyone to put things away as soon as they come in the door, and remind them to keep the space tidy.
I spend A LOT of time in my mudroom - which also functions as a laundry room. 4 kiddos makes for So much laundry! I want that space to be organized, labeled and pretty so it makes all the laundry time a little better. It is still a catch all room for backpacks, cheer bags, cleats and shoes; however, the wall papered ceiling, fun light fixture and tidy drawers make it a happier space. So, I challenge you to give a little extra love to a room that often gets neglected.
Keeping your mudroom, entryway, and laundry room clean can feel like an never ending task, but it is essential for maintaining an organized space. Tidy up often, so that you never become overwhelmed. I make sure to wipe down surfaces regularly, sweep or vacuum the floors, and throw in a batch of towels and other items as needed. Set a timer for 5 minutes and do what you can now to benefit yourself later!
