Stress and anxiety is at an all time high in this country, plus we have been through a hell of a lot the last few years. Sometimes you just need to stop and breathe. In fact, we do this at the end of each fitness class. However, we have forgotten how to take full deep breaths and just disconnect from the world. So, I invite you to take a few minutes with me to find a quiet space and connect to yourself. You deserve this! And if it seems really hard for you then you are the one that might need it the most

Episode Transcript:

Hello, and welcome back to a girl in sweaty spandex! Its Lauren Truslow coming to you. This is just a quick, you are a badass pep talk that you can just play in the car when you need somebody to tell you you're doing a good job. So, I want you to repeat after me.

I am a powerful, intelligent and badass woman.

Say it, I mean it say it out loud in your car by yourself.

I am confident in my abilities and who I am. I love my imperfections and my perfections, because they make me who I am.

And let's just be real clear- imperfections and perfections, all the things, they make you who you are. I am who I am and I will not apologize for it. Love who you are and just be you, you can't be somebody else.

I can do or be anything or anyone that I put my mind to.

That has that whole dream big mentality to it. You can do or be anything you put your mind to. My value and worth is not tied to anyone else.

I am beautiful. I am strong. I am in charge of my future. I've got this.

Now I want you to take three big breaths, big inhales, big exhales. Breathe all the way into your diaphragm, and on each exhale let your shoulders relax away from your ears. Feel connected and alive in your own body, clear in your own mind. Now go out and crush this day, because you've got this. See you next time everybody, have a fabulous day!

About The Podcast
Lauren Truslow is the mom who shows up in sweaty spandex, and she’s not afraid to own it. In this podcast, she shares her experience as a fitness studio owner and instructor who’s spent the past decade birthing businesses and babies in a culture that wants to break women down and say they’re not enough.
She’s over that, and you should be, too!

Join Lauren as she gets real on deleting impossible standards, embracing what’s real, and turning up the positivity in  the life you want to live. Whether you’re a student, mom, working woman, or fear you’re entering a post-spandex phase of life, she’s here to remind you that the world out there is yours to own—stretchy pants included.
